Fingerboards can be customized in a number of simple and inexpensive ways. Painting the trucks with finger nail polish or acrylic paint can give a great custom look. The deck itself can be sanded down removing the paint allowing for a custom finish to be applied. Griptape is also a great way to change the look of a standard tech deck, cutting the grip tape to create a pattern. Custom Fingerboard Griptape
It is easy to cut grip tape into different patterns.Just trace out the design you want on paper tape the paper to the grip tape and cut around the design.Nearly any shape can be achieved.You can also draw directly on the paper side of the grip tape remembering that the design will be reversed. Foam griptape can also be customized but intricate patterns are considerably harder to achieve.
